ICDE 101 - Introduction to Digital Study Skills (DL)

This course is designed to equip students with essential digital skills for effective online learning. As a distance learning student, understanding how to navigate the university’s Learning Management System (LMS) and use digital tools is key to your success. Throughout this course, you will gain hands-on experience with the GCTU LMS, learn how to access learning materials, participate in discussions, submit assignments, and take quizzes.

Beyond the LMS, this course introduces practical digital tools such as Zoom, Google Drive, Google Forms, Google Sheets, and Padlet, which will help you collaborate and engage in online learning more effectively. By the end of the course, you will be able to confidently use these tools to manage your studies and work with your peers.

This is a highly practical course, and most of the activities will involve hands-on tasks and real-world applications. We will meet on Zoom every two weeks for interactive live sessions, while the weeks in between will focus on practical assignments to reinforce learning.
